Mental Health Awareness Day 2018

So on mental health awareness day I thought I would write a short blog on how we could maybe all feel a little better or make someone else feel a little better today and everyday . All of us at some point in our lives will feel a little bit shitty or sometimes things are just not going the way we want them too. So here are a few tips to help us all feel better.

Drink plenty of water. Hydrate yourself.

Take a short walk or a long one if you have the time and whilst your doing this be sure to smile at someone and wish them a good day.

Smile, smile alot! Did you know that smiling sends off chemical reaction’s in your brain that will automatically make you feel better and with it make the other person feel better too. Smiling benefits health and improves your happiness and the health and happiness of others around you.

Sit in a coffee shop, read a good book and have some alone time.

Meet up with an old friend and talk about the good old days.

Run a hot bath and have some pamper time and make time for you.

Love yourself. You can’t learn to love anything or anyone if you don’t love yourself. No matter what race, size, age we are all unique and beautiful in our own way and no-one is perfect. How wonderful is it that we are all different.

Look after yourself. Take time-out. Book that holiday, eat that cake. Do things that make you happy.

Take care of one another. Love the people close to you and make them feel special.

Lastly it’s ok not to be ok . Don’t beat yourself up. Write down a list of good things that are happening in your life right now and try to stay positive and always talk to someone about how your feeling. Who knows that person may be feeling the same way too.
